Voters in Ohio have voted in the favor of gambling in the state. They have overwhelmingly voted in the favor that gambling should be accepted in the US state. However, it is not easy to hush down the voices of the anti gambling groups in the state. Voters alone cannot hush down these voices.
After the approval of gambling has approved in the US state, the anti gambling has turned their attention to the slot machines. They are trying their best to keep the slot machines out of race tracks. They are trying to get the desired number of signatures of the voters to keep the issue for the next November. This delay in the slot machines will delay the development of the gambling industry in the state.
For the racetracks, the slot machines have been approved by the lawmakers, however the advancement of the slot machines have been stopped by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has decided that the issue should be decided by the voters.
If the anti gambling does not receive the desired number of signatures, then the state will be permitted to proceed with the plan. However, the spoke person of the anti gambling says that they are quite hopeful to get the desired number of signatures.
So, the battle in the Ohio state is now on the slot machines in the race tracks and not on the gambling. The anti gambling is trying its best to restrict it. However, the state lawmakers are trying their best that slot machines should be allow to install in the race tracks.
